The History of the KCP
The changes proposed by the Knox Charter Petition initiative are the result of several months of the Howard Baker Center for Public Policy's research and the public's input, all part of the Knox County - One Question project. The question was simple:
What changes, if any, do the citizens want to make to the form or structure of Government in Knox County?
The answers to those questions, as well as a comprehensive copy of the Howard Baker Center's report, are available here. Also available is the KCOQ final report, issued September 9, 2007, that serves as the foundation for the KCP initiative.
