Knox Charter Petition goes live
Citizens group calls for public referendums
The Knox Charter Petition initiative is a project that aims to bring several referendums to the November 2008 ballot that, if approved by the voters, would make substantial changes to the way Knox County's government operates.
This website was created to help inform you, the public, about the changes being proposed and how you can help bring them to a public vote. The Site Menu to the left will help you understand the history behind the KCP, explain the proposed charter changes, help answer some of the more frequently asked questions, show you how to help the KCP give the voters a voice on the issues, provide links to KCP press items, and tell you a little more about those actively involved in the initiative. You will also be able to contact us and let us know your thoughts.
It's the public's Charter, the public's government - and the public's choice!
